PAWS 22nd Annual Golf Tournament

Hoaks

Summer is starting to settle in, which means the weather is perfect for a round of golf! The good news is the Paris Animal Welfare Society is holding our twenty-second annual golf tournament, and there’s a whole lot of fun and prizes to be had.

The golf tournament will be held on Wednesday, June 17th, at Houston Oaks in Paris, KY which has been rated by Golf Digest as one of the Top 10 golf courses in Kentucky. Registration will begin at noon with a shotgun start at 2 p.m.

The fee to golf is $75, and it includes golf, cart, range balls, light snacks and beverages on course, a full lunch catered by Red State BBQ, and awards ceremony following the game, as well as prizes. All players registering for the tournament will also enjoy a closing reception at the end of play including awards for the top three men’s teams and top women’s team. Prizes will also be given out for the men’s and women’s longest drive, and closest to the hole.

Tournament format is best ball scramble, four players per team. No handicaps will be used; however, gimmicks (mulligans and skirts) will be available, which players may purchase to help their chances at winning some of our top prizes.

Proceeds from the golf tournament help the homeless animals at PAWS receive the love and care needed to make them whole again. As of this writing, PAWS has 34 dogs and 47 cats in the building. It takes a lot to care for them and our golf tournament will help make sure we can.
