I’m excited to announce that PAWS is one of 50 cat-focused shelters participating in the Purina Cat Chow “Building Better Lives Adoption Drive.”

June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month and is also the peak of kitten season. It’s a critical time for shelters which is why the Purina Cat Chow “Building Better Lives Adoption Drive” is partnering with 50 shelters, one in every state, with the goal of finding forever homes for 2,500 cats.

During the month of June, I’m asking you to share your cat adoption or rescue story using the #MyRescueStory hashtag to help more cats find their forever homes. Simply share your story, picture or video of how your cat came into your life on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, and tag it with #MyRescueStory. For every story, picture or video shared in the month of June with the #MyRescueStory hashtag, Purina Cat Chow will subsidize a cat adoption fee – a donation of $30 per cat and up to $1,500 for our shelter.

The Purina Cat Chow “Building Better Lives Adoption Drive” has a goal to donate up to $100,000 to its 50 shelter partners as part of its ongoing commitment to help improve the lives of cats through rescue, nutrition and adoption support.
