“Tails of the South PAWS-cific” Dinner and Silent Auction
August 23, 2014
Event Navigation
On August 23, 2014, Siena Farm will once again host the annual summer benefit to support the P.A.W.S. animal shelter.
This will be the fourth time in five years that the owners of Siena Farm have offered the use of their gorgeous horse farm to the Paris Animal Welfare Society for their biggest fundraiser of the year. In the past, they allowed P.A.W.S. to transform the mare barn into a circus (“Send In the Hounds”), a Mardi gras party (“Mardi PAWS”), and a Wizard of Oz party (“Wizard of PAWS.”)
This year the theme is “Tails of the South Paw-cific.” When you enter the barn, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to an island paradise. Guests are encouraged to dress for a Hawaiian vacation. The caterer, Tommy Walters of Furlong’s, has planned a mouth-watering menu of luau food. There will be an open bar, with a signature drink that we’re going to call the “Bali-ha’i,” after the song from the musical “South Pacific.”
Music will be provided by Arthur Hancock III and IV. We don’t know whether they will sing any island songs, but whatever they sing will make you feel happy! And that’s what an island vacation is all about.
Reservations can be made at any time by sending a check to P.A.W.S., P.O. Box 222, Paris, KY 40362. Be sure to include your name and contact information.
Single seats cost $60. You can reserve a table for eight for $600 – that’s you and seven of your closest friends. Or you can go all out and sponsor a stall for $1000. That entitles you to a table for eight in a private, decorated stall, with the name of your business or other title on the stall and acknowledgement in the program.
