Petco Foundation Invests In The Lifesaving Work of Paris Animal Welfare Society

Grant of $10,000 will extend efforts to save more animal lives in and around Bourbon and Fayette, Counties, Kentucky

[PARIS, KY] (April, 2017) – The Paris Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) today announced it has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support its lifesaving mission through more adoptions.

PAWS is a private 501(c)3 organization, established in 1992, which runs an animal shelter located in beautiful Paris, Kentucky. As a private organization, we are solely dependent on private donations and community support.

The Petco Foundation investment will help PAWS increase local adoptions and to also free up shelter space to pull animals from surrounding high-kill communities.

“This grant will ensure that PAWS can continue to find a perfect forever home for the animals in our care, while allowing us to increase our ability to rescue animals from high-risk shelters in  neighboring counties,” said Mr. Wolbert, PAWS’ Executive Director.  “We are thrilled and honored to receive this grant.”
